Accident/Trauma Scene Cleaners Inc.

Accident/Trauma Scene Cleaners Inc.

Q.      How much does something like this cost?

A.      Cost varies greatly depending on the amount of cleaning and decontamination required at the scene.  Since costs vary so much Trauma Scene Management Companies (TSMC) should explain their estimated costs and assist the party in obtaining payment from available sources.

Q.      Who pays for these services?

A.      The TSMC can be paid directly from either the homeowners insurance, property management company (landlord), and or obtain payment from the Victims Compensation Fund.

Q.      How do I get my insurance company to pay for this?

A.      The TSMC should, as part of their service, obtain the insurance/billing information from you and bill your insurance directly.  The TSMC should be able to provide pictures and a detailed description of restoration needed to further assist in the complete restoration to the original condition.

Q.      What if something cannot be cleaned?

A.      Any contaminated items that cannot be cleaned will have to be removed from the location.  This could include, but are not limited to carpet, padding, linens, upholstery, and mattresses.  Generally the homeowners insurance will restore any removed carpet and or flooring as well as have the area repainted to its original condition.
